The Start of Something New
Today heralded something new, a cohesion of two people coming together in an effort to do what they love to do best. And I don’t mean in a Brad and Angelina kind of way. Although the day proved mainly to be about setting up, cleaning and moving couches (actually more moving couches than anything) it was still our official start date. The reason why? Well the following Monday was for some reason an auspicious day to start a company following the Chinese perspective on business. As a liberal thinker myself I had no problems with this, “you gotta do what you gotta do”. The exact reason why, I’m not entirely sure, you’ll probably have to get Karo to explain it to ya. In the morning we picked up two couches, one of which fitted nicely in the elevator, the other needed to be dragged up five floors to our new office. Our new digs are in the ACG building on the corner of Queen St and Mayoral Drive with a great view of mid city. It’s nice to sit and watch people walk by oblivious, but there wasn’t any time for that, we had an office to open. With the help of Boram we cleaned all the windows, floors, chairs, desks and set up the computer network. Furniture was rearranged and everything was tweaked to our own individual working style. And after the long day of setting up we turned off the light and closed the door to what had been a successful opening day.
